I have recently noticed how the right car, regardless of the cost, can really improve the quality of your life. Before I had to abruptly make a new car purchase earlier this year, I dealt with a plethora of car problems. It was awful, so awful that the service guy and mechanic took me into their office and said trade it! I felt instant brain fog. I was not ready to purchase a new car. More over, I didn’t know where to start!
A couple of things that I knew was that I wanted to make a better purchase in terms of the quality of the car, without an insanely expensive car payment. The cost was concerning but I believed I could find both. Quality and affordability and I had to add on style. During my time searching, my sister mentioned the Toyota Highlander to me. I remembered seeing another mom with boys the same age as my boys, getting into their pearl white SUV. It was during my first online search that I found Cars.com. I combed through every bit of information that I could find on their site about the Highlander. The site was easy to navigate and the information including reviews provided is written from a consumer’s perspective. No need to worry about dissecting technical mechanic jargon. You will hear from actual car owners that had recently purchased a Toyota Highlander and were not shy at all about their experience with one of Toyota’s most successful automobile. Read on and you’ll hear about my 2017 Toyota Highlander.
I’ve always been a fan of sports cars. Combine that feeling with an SUV and The Highlander is born. It was love at first sight for me with the exterior. I really love the sleek and modern look of the body. The front end grill is larger than what I”m use to but I felt like really gives a look of luxury and class. We were coming out of a compact SUV and having two growing boys I knew we needed the extra room. Toyota’s designers used space wisely. The second row is very spacious, a very big step coming from a five seater. The third row is a bonus for traveling with small children and storage although not the most comfortable for adults or older children.
I am very pleased with safety features like the reverse camera and its accuracy for parallel parking. Living in a city the size of LA requires one to parallel park frequently. There is also the lane assist option once only available in the limited edition, but Toyota made it a standard feature in its models starting this 2017. Lane assist helps when traveling along side other cars to alert you of them being too close and keeping safe in your lane.
Storage space was an important factor for me too considering I”m a mom on the go. The console between the driver seat is enormous! It holds everything that I need it to and keeps the eight passenger ride free of clutter. There are plenty of USB ports for charging all electronics and connecting to the radio can be done this way as well. I have to mention the sound system. It is really good and can be heard from all over the car equally.
The overall ride is smooth and rather quiet. I would highly recommend the Toyota Highlander for work and leisure. Your family will ride in comfort and style and most importantly in a safe car. As for the sports utility vehicles this was one of the better options to me.
