Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) celebrates their many counterparts in the industries of building and real estate as well as partners and donors who contribute financially and through a commitment to volunteering. Their Annual Builders Ball held at the renowned Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills hosted celebrities and prominent business executives. This year legendary “Sugar” Ray Leonard received the Dream Builders Award. The evening also raises awareness and funds to continue to empower families and establish strength and independence in communities through homeownership.
It was an honor to visit the community in Long Beach and help families reestablish themselves. I was humbled by the homeowners tearful reaction. It’s a memory that I’ll have forever. -Sugar Ray Leonard
