The City of Los Angeles has so many neighborhoods with incredible energy. This always prompts me to hop in my car and drive to the next great location in search of my next “only in LA” experience.
On this night I attended a media tasting in Inglewood at Middle Bar, a new and popular brunch spot on Market Street.
The evening celebrated the newly minted collaboration between Global Genes and One Hope Wine. I sampled and enjoyed Monterey Reserve Gewürztraminer, the one-of-a-kind, rare wine made from a rare grape.
The Global Genes non-profit organization work with families that are dealing with diseases so rare that they’re sometimes less than 50 diagnoses in the entire world as well as to the larger named diseases. They are an umbrella organization supporting all rare diseases. Support is available to patients and advocates no matter where they are on the journey. Global Genes provide assistance for those newly diagnosed and wanting resources to trying to fund research or to start their own nonprofit for their disease.
One Hope Wine approached Global Genes about the partnership. They are the only winery to work with the organization.
Global Genes® Announces 4th Annual
DENIM DASH 5K Virtual Race for RARE Disease
Southern California supporters are invited to join the local Global Genes Dash in Aliso Viejo, August 23.
The virtual Denim Dash 5k offers participants across the globe the flexibility to run, roll, jog, walk, bike, or even swim anywhere at any time in support of patients, family, and friends of the rare disease community.
One Hope Wine Co-founder Brandon Hall shared that the brand was started by eight friends that have supported wines for over a decade. They were inspired by a friend being diagnosed with a rare disease at only 22 years old and also working in grocery stores and seeing promotions end for breast cancer awareness and felt that awareness should be continuous. From this One Hope Wine was born.
Giving back is part of the fabric of the business. We are a brand with a mission. ~Brandon Hall, co-founder One Hope Wine
I sampled the rare wine and had a few sips from other unique One Hope Wines. Middle Bar served some of their signature lite bites from their menu.
