Super League Gaming is revolutionizing the arcade! They’ve created a way for kids aka gamers to come together and play Minecraft with lots of other players, all under the same roof..both physically and virtually. While there they joined Super League Gaming and had the best time on their Galactic Missions battling zombies and creating weekly builds.
Here’s how it works. The kids bring their own lap tops and log into a private and secure server given to Super League Gamers only. They are also assigned to teams and able to use their Minecraft ID’s that they already have. No need to create a new one. Once you log in, you are able to view exactly where you are on your laptop but on the movie screen, you can see everyone as a whole. The view was awesome. My prediction is that 3D is in the near future. Every week SLG had a different theme with a different mission to be completed. My boys thought that it was really cool to be able to communicate and play against their peers.
From a Mom’s perspective, I really enjoyed watching the kids enjoy themselves. There we’re some moms/dads that dropped off, some moms/dads that stayed and there were nannies too. It did help too that iPic is home to the softest and most supple leather recliners that I’ve ever stretched out on and even more we could order food and it’s brought right out to you. We felt safe at all times. It was a good environment and allowed the kids to socialize with kids from other schools and ages. I felt like they grew from it and was able to experience the new age arcade.
